Dataloggers

TMS dataloggers measure soil moisture together with air and soil temperature - three temperature sensors and one soil moisture sensor per unit. With a sealed battery good for more than 10 years in Basic mode (one reading every 15 minutes) and memory for 507 872 records, each logger runs on its own with minimal maintenance. Low cost and robust construction make them practical for long-term monitoring over large areas, including harsh conditions.

TMS Standard

Standard version for general long-term monitoring.

TMS Extreme

More durable build for extra harsh outdoor conditions.

Extended length variant for deeper or specialized installations.

Main body extended by a flexible tube for burying under ground.

Compact version for shallow or space-limited deployments.

TMS Bend

90° bent variant for non-standard or sloped installations.

Point Dendrometer

A potentiometer-based point dendrometer that records stem diameter changes with sub-µm resolution, plus air temperature from an integrated thermometer. Robust construction, large internal memory, and a long-life lithium battery suit it to years of unattended outdoor deployment.

Thermologger

An autonomous single-sensor temperature datalogger built on the TMS platform, for air temperature monitoring across a wide range of conditions. It is compact enough to be hung on a tree, fixed to a structure, buried in soil, or placed almost anywhere outdoors. Data is stored internally and downloads in seconds with the TMD Adapter.

Accessories

TMD Adapter

The TMD Adapter transfers data from TOMST dataloggers to a computer or Android device running the Lolly Software. Connect it over USB-C, touch the top of the datalogger to the adapter's metal ring, and hold it there - the download starts automatically.

Sun Shields

Sun shields keep direct sunlight off the temperature sensors, so the logger records the air temperature rather than solar heating.

TMS Installation Tool

A metal knife that makes a pilot hole in the soil before the TMS is inserted. Push it into the ground (a hammer may be used on the tool), remove it, and insert the datalogger by hand - never hammer the datalogger itself. This protects the TMS sensors during installation.
